This year's 21st NREC is aptly themed "Opportunities in the New Decade" and is timely in view of the 10th Malaysia Plan (10MP) recently tabled @Parliment by the Honourable Prime Minister. It is an exceptionally inspiring Plan which Malaysians should be proud of and take immediate cognisanze by all sectors, people-first included. Much has been said of the 10MP and much more to be done. So much opportunities served upon us to take on; take it and the nation prospers, ignore it, leave it and we deprive the nation short of achieving industrialised status. Prime Minister expects no stones unturned, no efforts wasted , no missed opportunities. The 10th Malaysia Plan emphasizes the need to innovate in many areas of businesses and this does not exclude the real estate sector.

Business is no more as usual.

The economy will be private sector driven, the main players will be the private entities whilst the government will be the facilitators of the supporting driving forces of the economic activities. Thus, 2010 NREC takes the just-on-time attitude in preparing the platform for the whole spectrum of the real estate industry professionals and practitioners, to deliberate the pathway and strategies in moving ahead. Reputable and renowned industry players will share their views on pertinent issues for the delegates to have the opportunity for an intellectual discourse. NREC brings to you the economy at large, the international opportunities, managing and mitigating the potential risks and certainly, innovative attempts in creating Malaysia as a World Class destination hub for real estate investments and the export of professional services.
